KASSY COLEMAN M.S., BCBA, LABA
Kassandra “Kassy” Coleman believes that it is important to help her clients reach their fullest potential and access what they want most from life by focusing her ABA programming on how to help them do the things they love and not to change who they are. She follows the same philosophy in her experiences with supervising RBT, BCBAs, and graduate students. Kassy pushes her supervisees to discover what part of the field they are most passionate about and then guides them toward developing their expertise in that area.
Kassy enjoys working with a collaborative clinical team to ensure that every client has access to the best clinical judgement possible. She also makes it a point to stay current with new developments in the ever-changing field of Applied Behavior Analysis, focusing particularly on trauma-informed ABA. |
She has worked in an variety of areas in ABA from residential teenagers to early intervention. Verbal behavior programming and trainings are Kassy’s favorite part of the field to target and talk about. In her most recent role before coming to kin:pathic, Kassy served as the Clinical Director of a local agency where she especially enjoyed helping parents understand the benefits of ABA, training RBTs, and training graduate students to be BCBAs who appreciate the evolving field and the range of philosophies that can be found among practitioners.
Kassy was introduced to ABA through an internship she undertook while earning her Bachelor of Science from Florida Southern College and as a result of this experience she became passionate about the field and decided to pursue a career in ABA. After moving back to Massachusetts (where she grew up), she attended Simmons College and got her Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis in August of 2013, passing the Board exam a month later. Kassy earned her second Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership at SNHU in January 2020. The course work for this degree helped her to recognize important qualities of a good leader and how to leverage her background in ABA to help RBTs feel valued and positive about their work experience on her team.
Kassy loves being a Mom of three (8-year-old son, 5-year-old daughter, and 2-year-old daughter). She loves trying new restaurants when traveling, and spending time by a fire with her husband. She enjoys going to her kids’ sports games and dance events. Kassy’s happy place is spending time at New Found Lake.
