When families first reach out to kin:pathic, they are often navigating one of the most overwhelming moments in their journey. Questions, uncertainty, and urgency can make that first phone call feel daunting. For many families, the first voice they hear is Tiffany “TJ” Jones, our Operations Assistant and Intake Coordinator, and her goal is simple: help families feel heard, supported, and hopeful from the very beginning.
For TJ, helping others has always been part of who she is.
A passion rooted in helping others
TJ began her educational journey at Auburn University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science while pursuing a career in speech pathology. Her work supporting children and families across multiple roles — including cognitive brain trainer, speech pathology assistant, and behavior therapist — deepened her passion for service and connection.
After moving to Boston, TJ transitioned into the administrative side of an ABA agency, where she gained firsthand experience in the behind-the-scenes work required to support families effectively. When kin:pathic founder Tiffany Remy launched the organization, she invited TJ to help build something new from the ground up.
TJ immediately knew it was where she belonged.
Meeting families where they are
TJ’s work is deeply rooted in empathy and connection. She is often the first point of contact for families seeking services, many of whom have already experienced long waitlists, unanswered calls, or confusing information.
“I love being the first person to connect with the family,” she shares. “Most of the time, families have been calling many different agencies with no success at speaking with anyone. It makes me so excited to connect with them, tell them about what kin:pathic has to offer, and help them find the resources they need.”
Her diverse background allows her to relate to parents on a personal level and understand the challenges they may be facing. She recognizes that families often reach out feeling frustrated, confused, and sometimes even hopeless. Her goal is to replace those feelings with clarity and encouragement.
“If I am able to provide hope for that family, it means everything,” she says.

Making the first step easier
TJ is committed to making the intake process feel manageable and supportive rather than overwhelming. She walks families through each step, answers questions thoroughly, and ensures they know how to reach her at any time.
Her approach is simple but powerful: listen first, respond with empathy, and offer clear solutions.
“I want families to feel like I’m on their team,” she explains. “As a positive, helpful interaction with a listening ear.”
Families who connect with TJ can expect a positive, helpful interaction and a listening ear. She understands that reaching out for services can feel intimidating, and she works to create a safe space where parents feel understood and supported.
A message for families taking the first step
Reaching out for services can feel intimidating, but TJ wants families to know they are not alone.
“Let’s work together to come up with a plan to get your child the support they need.”
At kin:pathic, compassionate care begins with connection. Through her empathy, guidance, and dedication, TJ helps ensure every family’s journey starts with understanding, hope, and a trusted partner by their side.
